i predict common LLL without meaning will drop in price to at least $100 at some point this year..
Would you like to put $50 on your prediction? say; If they don't drop below $175 I win, if they drop below $125 you win??
On the question of domain appraisal tools.... for .com they can be indicative (but no better than that) & for .mobi they are a total waste of time...
if you want a domain appraisal that's as accurate as any of the 'appraisal tools' you may as well just throw darts at a board & double your score & x5 & then subtract your birthday
Each domain is unique thus cannot be treated like any other asset....
equine.com is worth good money for example as is equipe.com & equate.com or equals.com or equips.com a valuation tool cannot differentiate between all of the valid criteria - the number of times the word appears in searches is a very blunt tool, they are all 5L pronouncables & have the 'low valued' Q character (always makes me laugh that different letters have different values)
Jacques.com would be worth less that Simone.com on that basis but if you had a fashion label 'jacques' you'd be happy to pay a premium wouldn't you..
Some things are searched for infrequently but have high value names due to the PPC revenue in that niche..
LLL.mobi - a good one; e.g an acronym for an existing decent size business or useful 3L word or brandable etc etc.. worth $1,000 +
ZQX.mobi - maybe useless in the USA but in China (you know, that little place over there

ZQX.mobi may rate as pretty desirable...
in the USA market maybe that one is $100 but in china it could be $1,000
Oh dear... there I go again! one of my soapbox topics
Basically; the best way to get an 'indication' is to look at recent sales... but interdomainer trades made by impatient domainers with itchy fingers will yield far less than decent end-user sales by a factor of 10 or even more...
