advice How much is a two letter .com domain worth?

Sort of stumbled over one recently that a friend of mine has for sale. I know there are only 626 of them in the entire world. But I can't find any even suggested pricing?

There also seem to be a surprising number of non built out two letter .com domain names. Was almost shocking. For example DD.com goes nowhere not even a landing or sale page.

Just really strange,

Is there a list of previous sales I could check? Looking for more factual information than speculation.

High price might be deterring factor.

If you own it, you think is my business idea worth sitting on a 6, 7 digit property.

The same for potential buyer.

They provide instant authority and reputation, but there are not many businesses that can monetize that.
