As age is widely accepted as quite a big SEO factor, how much does it affect the value of the domain?
Is anyone able to put that in $'s or is it not that simple?

For instance if you had the-worst-domain-ever.info but it had 15 or more years age, would it still be worth something just due to the age?

Thanks
B

Age alone isn't very valuable in itself, it adds value indirectly if the domain has accumulated links and traffic over the years.

a 15 year old worst-domain.ever.info is worth nothing if it had never been used and has no inlinks. it would need many good links (eg. an .edu) or existing traffic for a bad domain of any age to have value.

history may be important too, if the old domain was used as a spam site with spam links to it all over the internet that won't help.

Exactly. I think the "age" factor most people talk about assumes that the site has been up gathering links and traffic. Worst-domain.ever.info isn't going to get any better unless you turn it into a site for people to submit the worst domain ideas they ever had and everyone flocked to read it!
