How much do you think my domain is worth?

Hello,

I am new at selling domains, and I want an estimate on how much my domain would sell for.

my domain name is:

laddertofameproject.org

It was created on Sep 22nd of 2008 and hosted by HostMonster.Com INC. I canceled it due to some money problems. It was originally a website for a project. The expiration date was 22-Sep-2009.

Can I sell it? I do own it, right? Help? lol.

It looks as though HostMonster owns the domain. See

In your hosting contract, you probably signed up for a package deal, and when you cancelled, the domain reverted back to the hosting company.

IMHO, it's always better to purchase your domain independently of your hosting company; I know of one instance of a local theater company that nearly lost its domain when its host went belly up and its owner skipped town. After a lot of legal back and forth, the company got its domain back.

If you really want your domain back, the host may be willing to sell it back to you, although this domain may not be worth the hassle.

It is a 4 Word Domain, only taken in .ORG. It really only means something to you, not an end user. Therefore the reseller value is basically $0.

Unless you really want the domain I don't think it is worth pursuing. If you really want the terms just buy the .COM

Even though it looks like a regfee domain, it does have rankings in both Alexa and Compete:

That's the trouble with long domains and the .org on the end is "ouch" .Best thing to do is either develop it yourself or cut your losses and get rid of it asap as nobody will buy it even for the reg fee. I've had to off load a few domains like this.
