How many Whois searches do your good domains get per month?

Hello,

I know some of you use Godaddy exportable lists and Domain Tools to get an idea of the number of Whois searches your domains get. So, I have a few questions about it.

1. How many searches do your good domains get?

2. Do you see a correlation between the number of searches and the number of offers received?

Just to give you an example on my domains, I have one that has received about 35 searches within the last three months, but only one offer within the same period. Some others receive 10 searches per month and no offers.

Any thoughts about this?

I have couple of domains with 150+ offers every month but no offers even though I have mentioned that the domain is for sale.

Some other domain receives 5-30 whois searches and get 1-2 inquiries a month or so...

Thanks for the response, Abdulbasituae.

I have also noticed that some domain owners place a For Sale message on the Whois record. I often wonder if that is a convenient strategy. Any other responses?

What is the easiest way to check how many WHOIS checks you get on a specific domain? Is this a charged service at Godaddy and domaintools

If it is a domain registered by you at Godaddy, you can create an exportable list that includes the data. Go to Domain Manager, Tools, Exportable Lists, Add New List, Click on the WHOIS options, and so on.

Those instructions are from memory, so you might need to poke around a bit. Anyway, it's possible for free from Godaddy (if it's your domain).

Thanks jagusa, I did find it, I notice it only gives the whois searches for the last month though, that's a pain

Wish there was somewhere to search on all your domains, not just the domains at Godaddy, I don't use GD much these days, I have about 15 domains with them.

I did notice one domain got 33 qeuries this month, mainly domainers I assume

Thank you for this lil walk through, I didn't actually know it was possible to search that. Will prove useful. Again, thank you :)

Have under 40 @gd but it said my best is 40 from last month.
Couple others in the 30range.

Surprised @ some with 0 :\
Also wish they would contact me instead of just stalk my info

For domains at GoDaddy, got one near a 100 and another close to 60. I regged few domains recently and they get whois hits (10-30).

Is there way to get whois search data from namecheap?

I am willing to wager that a lot of the whois searches are done by domainers. Most end users don't even know there is such a thing as whois. Just think about how much time we spend looking at who owns a name or when it was registered when we are trying to find name we want. Now, I am not saying that the data isn't useful .....just saying dont expect a ton of offer because the whois searches are high.
