I had an offer accepted by a sedo seller.

He wanted offers around $3k and I offered $1500 and paid.

Sedo told me a couple of times he has not replied to messages requesting transfer.

Sedo have had my cash for 2 weeks now.

When should I give up and request a refund?

(I do actually want the domain btw...)

If you do want the domain and are not in great need of the money, I'd say wait
Some people are *really* slow to act

There could be many reasons for the delay. In the end it depends upon how badly you want the name, and how patient you are.

Another option could be to obtain the seller's info and reach out to that person or entity direct. There used to be a communication window in your Sedo account, which allowed messaging your Sedo Rep handling the sale. Perhaps add a deadline to hopefully motivate the seller.

When it comes to domaining, both buying and selling, patience is a virtue.

Yes the sale negotiations are still in the form of a forum thread.

I just get an email to say go update the discussion.

Thanks guys. Been giving sedo a nudge every few days anyways.
This has that familiar 'fail' feeling about it already though.
Annoying thing is, I really want the domain.

I know the feeling well but don't get disheartened, I once had a buyer that needed to start the transaction twice due to SEDO cancelling it for his *unbelievable* delays in responding

Even when he re-started the transaction -after his request- he again(!) was delaying in his responses

The second time it was fun to watch tbh :)

How busy does one have to be to neglect a $1500 deal from closing, maybe he decided 1.5 wasnt enough after all? Prehaps he changed his mind & also walked away, forgot about his internet activities for a while

Is exactly what I am thinking...and I want to get it sorted or move on (with the cash back in my pocket...)
