I just registered LoveGraphicArts.com. I've been told it's best to keep domain names as short as possible, and I do agree. Though I do like this phrase for anyone passionate about the field of Graphic Arts as a career or business, the length does bother me a bit. How long is too long for a domain name do you think? Does anyone know of any lengthy domain names that have sold for decent prices?

I have no issue with longer domains if they fit. I haven't sold one in a while but have sold 3 and 4 word domains in the past

Agree with most people here that two words is more than enough in most cases, unless it's a catch phrase of some sort.

Take your name as an example: LoveGraphicArts . A potential buyer has so many options to replace the first word with anything else (and in 99% of cases this is what they do instead of paying premium for your name) ThinkGraphicArts, BestGraphicArts, LearnGraphicArts, etc...
