Hi everyone,

I’ve recently become interested in the domain flipping business and wanted to learn more about how people actually get started.

I’m curious about things like:

  • How do you find good domains to buy?
  • What tools or marketplaces do you use?
  • How do you decide what a domain is worth?
  • Do you usually buy expired domains or hand-register new ones?
  • What are the biggest mistakes beginners make?
I’d really appreciate any advice, resources, or personal experiences from people who have been doing this for a while.

Thanks in advance!

• I also recently wrote a short article about a common mistake beginners face (renewal costs building up over time):

Reading a few beginner threads here on NamePros will give you a much clearer picture before you start buying domains.

Hi there,

One thing that helped me when I started is to stop thinking of it as “finding good domains” and instead focus on spotting situations where a real buyer might show up later.
