In the agreement for name.com is this
"PARKED DOMAINS. Every time you register a domain name with Name.com, your name will be pointed to our "Future Home of...." page, which acts as a place holder for your domain name's future web page. This page may contain third-party advertisements, links to other products and services offered by Name.com, and interfaces to other web pages, including search engines, among other things. You will not receive notice regarding the additional content located on the Future Home Of page, and such content may be modified at any time. If you would like a preview of such a Future Home Of page, click here. If you have any objection to having your newly registered domain name pointed to a Future Home Of page, please let our Customer Service department know by clicking here.

the "click here" doesnt work off that webpage and its an agreement prior to buying the domain name. So I asked this place in case anyone has seen this and had no problem working around it .

Have you had experience with that particular site?

Taken from their FAQ

All newly registered names are automatically pointed to our parking page, which acts as a place holder for your domain. When you point your name to a pre-existing or new website, the parking page disappears.

So basically if you point it somewhere else .... there is your answer :)

Godaddy does the same

This may help also

c. How do I change my name servers?
Log into your Name.com account.
At the "Hello" page, click on the domain name.
On the "Manage domain name" screen, click "Edit Name Servers."
"Remove" the old servers, and "Add" the new.
That's it! In roughly 24 hours, your name server propagation will complete.

Ok thanks , so its nothing to sweat over then sounds like .
So taking it to another parking site is not an issue.

Thanks , very new to all this and just needed some clarity.
I am glad I found this forum today, its opened my eyes to some things such as the 5 domains I thought I owned but don't seem to after using the free domain name catch with signing up with domain hosting companies.
Thats why now I am trying to start to use a name reg site , I hope that the right next step.
thanks again both of you . cheers
