How do I know if a domain will go to auction or drop publicly?

If I have a list of domains set to drop on a certain date, how do I know if they'll

a. go by default to snapnames
b. go to some other catcher as part of an agreement
or c. possibly become publicly available....

I really dont' want to waste my time trying to hand reg stuff that is just assured to go to snapnames, so if there's a site or way to check, please tell me
