How can you get a GoDaddy assigned rep?

A couple of years ago, I used to have a GoDaddy assigned representative for my account. It was great to be able to email or phone one person directly instead of churning in the general support mill. Then GD raised the bar as to how many domains you needed in your account to qualify for this, and I no longer had this rep.

Does anyone know whether GD still offer this service to larger account holders, and if so, how many domains you need to qualify?

Or spend approx $2k/month. I think both limits, might have some flexibility, up or down. Best you can do is ask them for one, and hear what they have to say.

I recently asked my rep this question and he said the requirements are $5k per year.

@discobull - Thanks for the update. But I think it's an either/or question. Hookbox says it's 250, I have no reason to disbelieve him, but from memory (which is failing), I thought it was 300. So either spend $5k/year or have 250/300 domains there.

I don't think you can get a rep at 250-300 domains, I had over that amount for almost a couple of years. I was just assigned a rep recently, I have 3x's that. They may have changed it.

@tomcarl - But if you had that amount, you could have asked for a rep. Did you ask?

You're right that it used to be 300 but it appears that the policy has changed.

Has the policy changed from 300 to 250 domains either/or $5k/year spend?

@stub

Never thought of asking, didn't even know they offered that up until recently.

The rep told me that they automatically contact customers once they meet their requirements and that there's no point in asking. It's always possible, however, that a different rep would have given a different response.

I don't think they are very efficient in their invitations if @tomcarl has approx 900 domains there and you only need 250 to qualify for a rep. Just saying.

Yeah, I believe other factors are involved such as how much you're spending with them, like disco mentioned. I spent their min budget within the past few months so it would make sense I only received one now.

Except that you have to spend $5k to qualify.

OK. So it's Spend $5k, see how many domains you have, if above 250 they send you an invite?

Thanks for the input all of you. I'll certainly ask GD but at approx only 250 domains, I'm not holding my breath. I wouldn't mind the loss of my old account rep so much, but GD has also cancelled email support. I now have to sit on the phone (once I've figured out what the Mountain Time zone is) and wait for quite a time. At least they have an auto voice asking if you want your phone wait to be with, or without music...

Thanks @hookbox. So that's 250 domains AND spend $2k on a rolling 6 months basis.
