How can I get my domain back from Magmahost?

Hi everyone, it seems Magmahost is a completely hopeless host after all. My website is completely down and they will not respond to any form of contact.

I got a domain for 1 year with them, and I go to my website to find that the domain is parked and I'm losing hundreds-thousands of visitors because of this stupid hosting company. I want to know how I can get my domain backa and move hosts and they won't even reply to my tickets

Are they listed as the Registrant in WHOIS, or are you?

Can you access your hosting account?

Got it for free, but it's important that I keep it. The domain has been parked now with Godaddy. And I can access my hosting account.

I have the same problem with my domain at magmahost !! They don't answer my emails, their phone number is no longer in use by them.


I'm loosing thousands of customers !

Cross their fingers and hope that they don't keep it. Many hosting providers that offer "free" domain names require that the domain name must stay hosted with them or offer an excessive fee to transfer it elsewhere

It seems like they are the owners of your domain name. In this particular situation nothing can be done from your end. Try to ensure them to transfer domain name to your domain name registrar.

I assume the domain in question is "vezup.com". I tried to run a WHOIS search, and it wouldn't give me any registrant information.

It does say that it was updated on 06/20/10. Did anything happen between you and Magmahost on that day?

It's a long shot, but you can contact Godaddy about it.

I'd try contacting Godaddy as suggested above. I'd also contact ICANN, and see what they advise. Unfortunately, it seems that you were never listed as the owner of that domain, which will probably make it virtually impossible to get control over it without a court's decision.

indeed. there is no connection (any link). I'm affraid but this situation can't be solved for you. All what you can is try to negotiate with your former web host.

Most likely you only paid them to register the domain name for you.

Have you heard back from them yet about this?

No respond. I've tried to call them, no answer.
My domain was a PR4 domain with a lot of traffic. I've lost tons of customers and $$$$.
