How big was my mistake?

Hello,

Once again, I made things the wrong way: I reged several domains yesterday which I though were great and THEN I found this forum. I probably lose my money. Let's see what you say.

I reged a nice list of typos for the .ME domains. I found in this threads mixed reactions about the very .ME TLD, not to say its typos. There are still three more domains that even now (that I've read a lot of threads here) something tells me that I should buy them.

So, how big was my mistake?

Hard to say without knowing the names.
But usually typos should only be registered in strong TLDs like .com or major ccTLDs like .co.uk .de .es etc. And stay away from TM names of course
.me is more novelty than investment, if it's just for speculation don't burn your budget on it...

I agree 100%.
IF i were to reg typos then i'd only buy .com's, i dont imagine .me's will get direct type in traffic so there is virtually typos of such names will get traffic. IMHO

I've been buying domains since a few years but mostly on demand, not as a investment... which called my attention after a recent article on Times magazine.

Oh well... Back to my own happy thoughts. Thanks for your replies...

Typos only work if they get traffic. The .me typo's in your portfolio will not gety any traffic.

As others have said typos really only have value if they get traffic. I don't think .ME are getting much type in traffic to start with, never mind typos.

I didn't really understand your first post, but what I got from it was:

You regged typo .ME domains...

I would personally not register typo dot me domains as the regular me domains probably don't get that much type in traffic...

Is there any way to reverse the operation in GoDaddy? I've read somethere that some registrar can cancel a domain and return the money within a given time period... "Tasting" if my memory serves...

The domains I bought were www-buy.me, www-hug.me, play.me, send.me, tell.me, ****.me, write.me, read.me, call.me and similars... All of them are in my signature.

I had a look at your portfolio. I confirm your .me domains are not good 'typos'.
For example wwwbuy.me might be a typo of www.buy.me because people sometimes omit the dot.
On the other hand www-buy.me won't work. It's not a likely typing mistake.

But unlike .com .me is not bound to get significant type-in traffic anyway. Even premium keywords will probably have limited traffic.

Cancel your purchases right away, and request a refund. You must do this quickly, or yes - you will have made a big mistake.

Don't register anything else until you have been on NamePros for at least a week.

I'm trying to find the way to cancel my order at GoDaddy but no luck so far.

I just sent them a support ticket asking to cancel my order. Let's see what happen.

If there a faster way to do it?

You normally click 'cancel' in your control panel - after which you can send them an email requesting a refund

Well.. I'd just call them and problem solved by now. 4-5 days and I'll have my refund.
