How Accurate is Sedo?

How accurate are Sedo's appraisals? I paid $30 for an appraisal and I am waiting for the results.

I really want it to sell - and I have heard that Sedo appraises domains a little higher than what they are worth.

Is there a general rule regarding appraisals?

If anyone can help me - I would really appreciate it.

Generally they are pretty much worthless, way too high.

Typical example form another thread,

Can't trust Sedo on their valuations...they appraised ATTORNEYS.TV at $12K but then wanted me to take a $1,500 reserve for the premium auction (passed).

Would use the forums, in my view all paid appraisal are a waste of money. The aim is to get you to buy more appraisals by giving you inflated values, not to tell you what the name is really worth.

It's best to ask around here to get a general idea. Then you can generate your value of the domain. There's a section just for appraisals...no charge either.
