Will most likely be to a religious organization where 90%+ of donations go toward their intended use and not administrative costs/marketing/etc...

May actually "adopt a family"; It's a program I was told about while researching charities where instead of the money going to a charity, you adopt a family and provide them with gift cards to i.e.: restaurants (since they have no place to eat), to department stores (so they can buy clothing, food, whatever they really need).

That's where I am at right now and think that it would have the most impact for a family, or if possible multiple families.
