I'm thinking about hosting my site with hostmonster and was wondering if anyone was familiar with this hosting company. I heard that they offer a lot and are inexpensive.

That's actually an extremely poor way of choosing a webhost. There are literally tons of companies that play the numbers game (like offering 999GB for $0.99/month), but have some of the worst reviews in the industry. A google search would also bring you a lot of affiliate-based ranking sites, so be weary of such 'opinions'. You should really choose based on reliability, customer service and ease-of-use if it's your first account.
