I have 2 domains on GD, one is being hosted as its own, and one i just a domain. How can i host both domains off one the one hosting plan? Is it possible?

You can "park" the second domain to your hosting plan. Is that what you mean?

if you want the second domain to show the same site as the first domain then you would park it as snoopi said, if you wan't it to show a site of its own you would need an add-on domain option, I'm not too familiar with godaddy hosting as far as what options they have so maybe someone else using them can help better.

Either way, you just have to change the nameservers for the 2nd domain and enter it under "parked domain" or "add-on" domain in Cpanel. Or if you don't want to pay the extra fees, just do a URL redirect :)

The most cost effective way of doing this is to use a hosting service that has support for multiple (add-on) domains. HostGator.com is a good example.

Assuming you mean that you need to host a completeley different site on the 2nd domain and not just park it and point to the 1st domain's site, then no, I don't think that you can do that at GD. I could be wrong, though, as I have never bought hosting from GD or any domain reg. But I have never seen that option to have a multi-domain account at GD.

I have a HostGator reseller account but I never had one of their non-reseller accunt. Before I bought a reseller account, I asked them if they are a true MD host and they told me tha tfor true MD hosting, I needed to get a reseller account. Their lowest reseller account is $24.95 and no dedicated IPs included, in case you need them. A dedicated IP is $2.00/mo per IP.

Mesopia (who I wouldn't even recommend to an enemy) is they same way. htey claim that they have non-reseller multi-domain hosting account but the non-reseller accounts are not really true multi-domain hosting because each domain after your main domain is hosted under a subdomain of the main domain. That is not true multi-domain hosting. Do not go with them for anything because their suppor is nearly non-existent anyway. I am assuming this is the same with HostGator's non-reseller accounts.

If $25.00/mo is too steep for you I recommend 2 true multi-domain hosts. I have used Neureal.com for about 3 years and I recommend them highly. They do not even have accounts, just true-MD hosting accounts. The lowest package is 10 domains and about $8.00/mo. Y9ou can also add on more domains for an extra charge or just bump your package up to the next one, which ever is cheaper or better for you.

Same thing goes with ExistHosting.com. They have true MD NON-reseller account. They have reseller account too but it's too expensive, IMO.

Both Neureal and Exist use H-SPHERE control panel where as HG uses CPanel control panel which can be better sometimes and also has fantastico scripts.

I recommend these hosts but becaue they were great for me but I find that with hosts, milage may vary from one person to the next.
