Looks like there was a site there since 2000, however there isn't any link popularity. Wordtracker shows about 50+/day, which isn't very impressive to say the least.

It makes you think, indeed!

DigitalPoint, which shows both Wordtracker and Ovt. results, didn't show any results for the domain + ext. That's was quite a sum for a typo.

Misspell/Typo. About 1,170,000 "search results" for "MORTAGE" at Google. Overture has the following:

717 mortage.com
331 gmacmortage.com
71 national citi mortgage.com

^^ Defaults to the proper spelling - MORTGAGE - without the extension in the reaults above.

Unless this is really misspelled often -and- typed in a LOT, I'm having some trouble justifying the numbers (dollars), as well ... with the information I've seen thus far, IMHO.

From end-user point of view - I was a mortgage broker (wife still is).
mortgage is spelled wrong ALL THE TIME

Don't know who paid that for it but homemortgage.com (an established site) would probably consider it worthwhile. It would only take them a few saved mortgage transactions to cover that cost.
