I have a new site that needs a logo/header.

Here are my ideas, but I am open to any suggestions you may offer.

The header should be 778 wide to fit the current spot.

I'm thinking a tiled brick background with "R&B Posters.com" as the name of the site. Maybe in a grafitti (sp?) font?

Underneath the logo in smaller letters add:

"Rap, Hip-Hop and R&B Posters"

Please make the logo small enough to add a 468x60 banner on the right.

The majority of the header should be the brick background.

I'd like to end the contest on Monday, Nov 28 at noon Central Time, but will probably end earlier if I find a design that I like.

Payment by Paypal.

Please post all questions in this thread and do not PM concerning this contest. I just want to keep this fair and above board.

Thanks,

jk

Hi GFX,

Thanks for the entry. There are a several things missing here.

I'm looking for the logo in the left and enough empty space on the right for the 468x60 banner.

I had asked for:

It just occurred to me that we could approach this a different way.

I could just tile a brick background in the header space and the logo could be smaller and have a transparent background.

That might be the best way to go.

Thanks,

jk

The background will be removed and changed to transparent, I just added it as an example.

Feedback appreciated :)

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the submission. Very nice job. My only critique would be that the bottom line is a little hard to read.

(Thanks for adding the bricks. Makes it easier on me!)

Domains4U,

Very Nice. I love having contests. See, that wasn't what I had in mind at all, but it is just great! Very nice BLING!

I would like the "Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B Posters" in the same font as "POSTERS.COM"

I'm trying to figure out how the keep the faces visible once I paste a 468x60 on top of your header.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the great work!

Hi Adam,

Much easier to read now.

Thanks,

jk

Could you please give me some idea on the sort of site you are designing. I get the feeling your wanting to put some adverts in the blank space.

If your using a long term permenant advertisment, or an affilate then you can add it in photoshop, if your using google adsence you can still do it, but i dont know how, lol. I think you can create a table and set this image as the background image, then add your adsense ontop of it, if positioned right. Im posative that will work.

Its defiantly possible.

Domains4U,

The site is rbposters.com. Now you will see why I need a header.

I'll be adding 468x60 banners from AllPosters.com. They are ALWAYS running one promotion or another. 20% off, or Free Shipping, etc...

hi jkjazz,

here is my design. i went with a bit more realistic design here which gives a real urban/hip-hop vibe. I also made room for the requested 468x60 banner ad on the right side. enjoy! ;)
