I think he's referring to the name being taken in many different extensions.
In reply to that... High Overture + Common Sense are better indicators than what extensions it's taken in. It's quite possible that a single person registered the name in 20+ extensions... Doesn't really mean much. And, even if it's taken by different people, overture scores are generally a better indicator as it may be difficult to figure out why some people registered the names they did (i.e. company name, different meaning in another country, alias, ...). The common sense part goes a long way too... Are there people paying to have ads for that keyword? If so, how many people are paying? If nobody is willing to even drop the min bid to advertise a keyword, it's probably best to steer clear unless it's a generic or something you plan on developing.
