Hi everyone,
I am quite a noob, so I hope some kind people will actuallyadvice me on what hosting companies to go to.
I need some hosting plans good for beginners, which is easy to use and also something which is prefably affordable.
And also I wish to host quite a number of websites on a single plan.
Was considering between lunarpages or IX Web hosting or 3ix

Another question is, if my domains are hosted at godaddy, can i subscribe to another web hosting company but my domains still hosted at godaddy?

sorry if my questions are too noobish.

Thank you in advance people.
:]

Any kind of hosting company will be able to handle you. Control panels do not matter all that much given that they all require learning the ropes to some degree. cPanel seems to be the control panel of choice, so you may or may not want to go that route. Many people say it's user friendly.

Aside from that, I would recommend looking at some of the smaller web hosting companies out there for one simple reason. The larger companies tend to provide more automated and less personalized support. This can particularly affect new users who may need answers simplified as much as possible. This is not to say that all big hosts are bad by any means, just that they might not be the best solution here as a whole unless you know who you are going with. It's just something to consider.

To address your final question, domains registered at Godaddy can be pointed to your host. They'll provide you with nameservers that you'll then login to Godaddy and enter them in to have your domain pointed to the host.

One more possible shared hosting solution is hqhost.net hosting service. with helpdesk support and multiple addons their plans are really affordable.

Proper research is needed before you choose a web host according to your requirements. Some host which is good for a webmaster may not be a good one from another’s viewpoint so it all depends on individual choices. Just make sure that you don’t fall prey to frauds and host providers who lure customers into their schemes which are never meant to exist.

You can also check the webhosting offers section.
Many webhosts have some good promos which can save you a lot of money.

In case you haven't found what you've been looking for, have a look at ahosting.biz plans, this is where you're likely to get most personalized support.

Do you have sites or domains only? If not, then have somebody done them for you with seo in mind. The second step is to find hosting services that will meet your requirements. Select a few hosts that people with decent number of posts recommend here. The point I'll make is that it's always better for a n00b to go for a small or a medium-sized company to get more responsive support. Make search on them here or at other forums. When the host is chosen, point your host's servers in dns settings. Good luck!

2 Hupadupa: does ahosting.biz offer shared plans?
