Hi, I'm Vivi, new to domaining but with a background in blogging and site management.
What brought me here to NamePros is that I seem to wind up with extra domain names, from blogs that I registered the domain name for but got too busy to pursue. I used to just let these domains lapse. However, I favor generic, snappy domain names for my blogs (as opposed to, say, vivisbookreviewblog.com ) so I feel like I should probably start trying to sell off some of my extra domain names instead of just letting them lapse.
So, I'm basically trying to learn the ins and outs, do's and don'ts of selling domain names I no longer need. Some are developed; some are not.
I don't know if I have a future in domaining per se but I'm eager to learn the ropes and at least start by seeing if I can sell off some of my domain names. I was reading a lot of info from this site here for the last few days but it felt a bit stalker-ish, so I decided to register here so I wouldn't feel like a stalker anymore. Plus, the community here seems helpful and supportive.
I do get pretty addicted to blogging and I tend to start more blogs than I can reasonably keep up with, so I can forsee a general pattern of having unwanted domains over the years. So now is the time for me to start learning some domaining skills as a complement to my blogging background.
I'm really looking forward to reading and learning from everyone here!
