Hah, we’ve all been there. Most of us burned our first budget on names we thought were amazing, then realized the market doesn’t care

The good thing is you’re learning early — that’s the real win. If you want to speed things up, post a few of your names in the appraisal section and people will point out what’s working and what’s not. It helped me a lot when I started.

Don’t stress too much… trimming the first portfolio is basically a NamePros rite of passage

It absolutely positively definitely feels like gambling but I don't need to buy any more, I'll just get this last one because it's reeeeaalllly good and then that's it...

Also, anyone know of any Domainers Anonymous clubs?

But I guess that's a new person thing - it's got to wear off once you've bought a ton of domains and zero of them are selling. You probably get a bit more picky at that point!

Thank you - good advice! I'll probably wait until I've actually got some worth appraising . I'm definitely learning - I've already started scanning my portfolio looking at domains thinking "What was the plan? Why did I buy you?". I'm pretty sure my current list will be about 90% shorter this time next year!
