I just finished (mostly) development on www.hey.im. Check it out and tell me what you think. It is a social networking site. Of course I would really appreciate it if you made a profile on the site. Your profile address will be hey.im/nameofyourchoice. You can secure a great name if you act fast, lol.

If you own some .im names you can help promote the extension by promoting this site a bit :hehe: Seriously though, if one of the .im sites takes off, people will start typing in keywords with .im to see whats there.

I was considering getting this name, but I chose another keyword with more value but probably won't sell for as much.

Your idea is good, maybe not the next myspace but definitely could go far. I'd take a look at your layout though, your google ads on the left are covering up half the login box.

Hey,

Nice job On the site, But Kindly I would like to point some things out to you errors & things I would change. ...

1. When Signing Up, it has the smileys... it comes up with ':mrgreen' without an ending colon. Is it meant to be like that?
2. I think the Logo could do with a bit of a sprucing up a little
3. If you are going to have links at the top of the page for "About Us", "Contact Us" and "Privacy Policy" you should make them longer and more detailed. They may be the first things that the user clicks on. One sentence looks crap. This applies to all of the thinks at the bottom too. They all link to one sentence pages. Lack of effort.
4. I would make a habit of typing the 'H' on Hey.im in upper case. (The footer:- "Copyright 2006 by hey.im")
5. I would make the whole Tab of the tabs at the top a hyperlink to the corresponding page, rather that just the text.

Whether you agree or not, the above are just things I would recommend.

I would use a phpbb template for the forums that more match the colors on you frontpage!
Also you could use your slogan "Express yourself" in the forums somewhere!
The forums page could have the same navigation buttons as the front page!

Thanks for the comments. I had trouble getting my .ims to resolve to at first, but they seem to resolve faster now. I would try resetting your nameservers to see if that helps.

As far as the girls from 20-26, I don't think we have any yet, the site has only been live 2 days so still trying to grow the member base. What do you think I would have to offer in terms of NP to get you all to post profiles :hehe:

I don't plan on selling this site anytime soon. I really want to develope it and see how far I can take it. I believe in the extension and the feedback I have had on the name has been very positive. Little to no resistance regarding it not being a dot com and everyone seems to remember the name without a problem, which imho is VERY important.
