Fox News Climate Coverage 93% Wrong, Report Finds

http://news.yahoo.com/fox-news-climate-coverage-93-wrong-report-finds-193433943.html

Primetime coverage of global warming at Fox News is overwhelmingly misleading, according to a new report that finds the same is true of climate change information in the Wall Street Journal op-ed pages.

Both outlets are owned by Rupert Murdoch's media company News Corporation. The analysis by the science-policy nonprofit Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) finds that 93 percent of primetime program discussions of global warming on Fox News are inaccurate, as are 81 percent of Wall Street Journal editorials on the subject.

"It's like they were writing and talking about some sort of bizarre world where climate change isn't happening," study author Aaron Huertas, a press secretary at UCS, told LiveScience.

"It's clear that we're not having a fact-based dialogue about climate change," Huertas added.

Are you saying you will use your .tv domains to get out info on climate change?

in part, yes. its not just climate change. anyone remember the iraq war and fox's enthusiastic promotion of it?

what murdoch has done over the last 20 years or so threatens our existence as a species. if nothing is done to counteract his sort of "journalism" i have little doubt that there will be no future for humankind, that enough people remain deluded by his flawed ideology will keep us from doing what we absolutely must in order to survive.

been there, done that. gets old after a bit.

personally i dont belive there's much money to be made in .tv at all, not as a domain play. mostly a big opportunity to lose money is what it presents.

sure there are plenty here who disagree but i think if you go back thru the archives of the last 6-7 years of this forum you'll find a lot more individuals no longer here who by their absence and apparent losses affirm the validity of my position.

bottomline: .tv's can make good brands for those willing and able to take advantage of that but as far as domainer profits go one helluva lot more money as been flat wasted in this space than has ever been close to made. veriscrew hasnt done too bad though - LOL!

Everyone has their own reasons for owning their .tv names. Some want to simply flip, some buy as longer term investments and some develop.

If your purpose is to use your names to help eradicate climate change (or help push out more accurate reporting of world affairs as I think is the hope with Fin) then good luck. It is probably one of the biggest issues facing humankind so I look forward to seeing how this is accomplished

I think that looking at the threads here on NP it is not too difficult to discern the most popular reason for acquiring .tv names...

Personally, I much prefer to hear of name developments than name sales, but it is nice to see that people can still make hundreds of times their investment in a supposedly economically depressed world - and all for buying the right .tv name.

Whatever your reason for buying a .tv name, good luck with your endeavours.

its important to note that even these modest 4 figure sales are the exception and not the rule. while it clearly can happen that a domainer will sell his investment for 100x not every domain is going to get sold for that or anywhere near. most likely outcome across .tv portfolios is negROI. you sir are of course one grand exception to that.

how quickly everyone seems to have forgotten how hard it was to get even 100 bucks for a good name just a year ago. look around and see how many enthusiasts from 5 years ago have completely vacated the space or how many names even today in these .tv boom times are being deleted daily.
