we have all seen the auctions on ebay , ya know the one's where its a $35+ shipping Fee for a domain name ? well i just saw something else for the very first time


there is a "new net" domain on ebay for auction and not only do you have to pay the $35 shipping fee BUT you also have to pay the $10 REQUIRED Insurance fee so thats $45 before u even start bidding on the auction ., i have never seen a Required insurance on a domain name

Yeah inflames, I've seen a lot of those going around like transfer fees of $15 and things like that. They include it for shipping/handling fees as well.

Technically you can't insure virtual goods, so insurance is silliness.

PayPal won't allow vendors to offer buyer protection on domain names.

More likely to get around paying final value fees on the items, since ebay "technically" exempts shipping and insurance from the final winning bid value. I'd think if pushed, ebay may not agree and would probably suspend the member or stop the auction for including phantom fees.
