Hi,

My lovely project, http://www.directory.io, is still Alpha, but I already implemented an internal search engine for images.

Try to open the site and to perform a search for "simpson" (or some other common keyword) in the top-right search box.

You will see search results with various Simpsons' animated gifs.

Now, they are completely different in size : some is wider, some taller, some bigger, some smaller.

How could I organize this search result page to optimize its layout and to make it nicer? With static images I use fixed-size thumbnails, but this page is still giving me problems.

I appreciate any review / comment about the project itself, style and contents' organization.

Thanks :)

Aldo

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

first when i went to :http://www.directory.io/
ur site is pretty simple, but good, white background, blue links an a banner at top.
i wrote simpsons so, wat happen?
appeared a page with pink background and witout any animations gif, at top a small banner.
i think u can change ur first page with more color or more stuff, will be better.

and try to changede page after u search anything, cause pink is not a good color.

good luck

sorry guys, but the search string was "simpson" and not "simpsons" :) I'm going to fix automatically names and slugs in the next future.

Just try it with "simpson" or simply "no" to see the effects.

I greatly appreciate your help and considerations.

In all your images give them a static height. I think this is what your asking.

If you want to display it more like google, then just add Height="90" to your image tags. It will strech some but its the only way unless you create images all the same height to start with.
