Last week I placed an order for a name expiring from the pool. It is not an incredibly valuable domain but I was interested enough to place a backorder through GoDaddy with my Investor's Edge account. I checked snap, nj, all the catchers and no one was interested or bidding. The domain in question was previously at Netsol or Enom.
Come drop day, I look to see if I have a new domain in my inbox and instead a GoDaddy reseller has picked up this name.
In this case the reseller is Go Canada Domains Inc., and I have seen them catch a backorder of mine before but didn't think anything of it. Can anyone confirm Go Canada is a reseller? I noticed they are using Securepaynet.net as their auth system so I assume this is the case.
Don't GD domain resellers have the same interface as customers, except with a few more bells and whistles?
More importantly is how do they beat GoDaddy's backodrer system and should I ask for my $30 monthly subscription fee back?
