Help please

Hi,new to the sight,Iv'e got dreamweaver 8,I haven't read that much about it but trying to set up a web server so i can put stuff on the net.It mentions one but that only works on xp professional and the other one was cold fusion which i don't have,so my question is,is the server in dreamweaver already,or do i have to find another.Idid read a post about apache and php though i don't really no much about that and also if i should use it.I have windows xp sp2,cheers.

Tbh... don't bother. Unless you know LOADS about web servers, don't try and set up your own. You will only run into problems. Your computer will have to be on ALL THE TIME for starters. Secondly you will need bags and bags of security devices and software just to stop hackers. Then you have to install DNS servers and stuff and nameservers, and then it all just gets too complicated. lol.

I would suggest getting hosting off a hosting company seriouslly. Try something like http://hostgator.com. Or else someone off here is liable to be able to off you hosting.

From your post, it seems that you don't know enough about the business to set up your own server.

1) Dreamweaver is NOT a server; it is a web design tool
2) Coldfusion is NOT a server; it is a programming method.
