Hi I am 23 years old, this morning I bought by mistake on sedo a domain for 2800 dollars that I do not have, I did not want to buy it I wanted to see the purchase procedure, I am new on sedo I did the account about 3 days ago, there is a way to delete the transfer, I have already sent an email to support, I can not pay that money, I had put as an option PayPal since I do not have a card with IBAN. Help I'm really desperate!!!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
You made it too big of a deal. The worst thing could happen is they will ban you.
There are some mistakes that cannot be undo like I click on buy her now and I am stuck with my wife for the last 36 years. No cancellation and free automatic renewal.
Cool down.

what happens after 5 days?

Dye your hair, change your name... move out of your home immediately and do not tell anyone where you are going. Get rid of all of your electronic devices. Learn another language. Go to a different country and try to blend in. Get a cash job and use only cash.

If you are still there in five days, there will be little chance for escape.

For the rest of your life, you will be on the move. Don't follow a routine. Never sleep in the same place twice. If you look over your shoulder, Sedo will be there. They are relentless, ruthless and cold-blooded. For $2800, they will follow you to the ends of the earth.

you don't have the money to pay on your CC - what to worry about?

That's one of my favorite lines when someone is sued for cybersquatting and calls me up in a panic because the plaintiff is looking for damages of $100,000.

I always ask, "Do you have $100,000?"

"No."

"Well, then the good news I have for you is that you aren't going to lose $100,000."

What is wrong with people? That's how someone also "mistakenly" listed, accepted an offer and sold a domain that wasn't theirs, only to realise the "mistake" when Auth Code was requested from them

Your age has nothing to with - who cares if you are 23?

You click buy now then it takes you to the payment options page, you then have to click the box to confirm the agreements, you then have to confirm your payment option..... what did you think was going to happen after doing all of this?........

Also stop sending them loads of email, it looks unprofessional........

How many cases have you won for your clients for failed sedo sale?

Does it count as a "win" if I get the sentence reduced from hanging to life in prison?

Can you call them? That would be your best option. Not trying to be unkind but you aren’t going to get alot of sympathy here. We sell domains. These are the kind of situations we don’t want. I have to be honest with you. What you need to do is call and see if you are allowed to back out of the sale.

Just eat the ban.

You won't pay and you'll be banned from using Sedo again. You won't be persecuted for not paying.

To make it clear, I think Sedo shouldn't cancel your transaction and should ban you instead. If they let it slip, then it would be far too easy for anyone to back out of a deal. You'll probably have to live without Sedo for now.

My first wife is still being held by Escrow.com because I couldn't complete verification.

I'm so happy in my second marriage, that I can hardly wait for the third one! She tells me it will happen soon if I don't stop saying that.

How do you buy a $2800 domain by accident? Sounds like buyers remorse and you should be talking to Sedo about it.

For just a few dollars more, you could have ticked the box for the new model upgrade program.

Painfully accurate, John Gotti , Jimmy Hoffa they didn't pay SEDO either and we know how that ended.

I'd consider a class action just based on the length of this abominable thread.

I'm really worried for you man. Sedo are in tight with the mafia. If you you don't pay up it goes fingers, toes , concrete shoes I heard.

Sadly, Sedo caught up with the real andrea101, and the one posting now is a Sedo employee pretending to be andrea101. That's how they cover up these things.

This is an issue on the Sedo marketplace stone age design.

I have faced a similar situation in the past. Their system is like "now you have clicked on buy now price, so now we have an agreement and therefore you are obligated to buy"

don't worry about it. Just ignore.

Man, get out of my world! All someone would have to do is remove 'sedo' and add 'your ex-wife' in its place and you have described my last 20 years! :xf.cool:

Hey, hey.
First rule: don't talk about it

Don't even say the name of the club outloud. It's a precious bond by brothers but the name that's the first rule don't talk about it.

So how did it end?

OP went underground, moved to another country, and had a gender change operation (which ironically cost more than the $2800 owed to Sedo)

on the sedo website it says this : Please pay the required amount into Sedo's account within the next five days. Our payment information can be found on the following. what happens after 5 days? I'm sorry if I'm bothered, I don't really know what to do, I've never been in such a situation

If you are really worrying, just tell them you are not interested to purchase.
