HELP! I made a mess with PayPal

Hello...I had to sell a name today to someone who could pay me only with CREDITCARD so I opened another PayPal account , a premier one thinking it was the best way for the buyer to save some fees.....but then to calculate the fees was hard so I decided to open a PayPal Premier account using a US address of my ex-friend in Missouri.

That was the mess.....PayPal charged $12 on a $300 transaction.

The problem is that now to move the fund to my other PayPal account , PayPal wants me to add a bank account otherwise it does not let me move $1.

Obviously I have no bank accounts in the USA.

So what do I do now??? I have money that I can`t touch ? :'(

Please, some advice....I made a mistake I know. :'(

Well I suppose you could contact paypal and tell them you have moved to a different country, but dont know if that would work or not.

Alternatively you could speak to the person you sold the domain to and refund the money, then when it has gone back on the credit card, get them to pay into the correct paypal account (You would need to trust them for this one).

Thank you for the reply!

edit: I found the refund link, many thanks, I`ll try that way. :)

I did not think that PayPal would not let me send the money from one to another if I did not a bank account....it must be related only to US accounts because I have done it before with 2 Australian accounts, or things have changed. :-/

Yeah, in order to send money via Paypal you have to have a confirmed bank account.

I really like that feature - it's a great way to combat fraud. :tu:

I am pretty sure I have a Premier account at PayPal. I've never once had a problem. I am always withdrawling money, transfering, buying and selling stuff with it.

I must have 200+ PayPal transactions and have never had a problem (fingers crossed)

I do need to study up a bit more though as I was unaware that Buyers had to pay a fee when paying me with a credit card?

Also PayPal fees are alot on my end. The other day I accepted $500 and was charged $19.80 from PayPal for the payment.

To Date I believe I've pay PayPal over $200 in fees.

Nor in the UK, I'm sure I had at least one transaction prior to adding the bank account.

The last time I created an account there was simply a monthly limit (sure it was something like $500) until the account was verified, maybe things have changed however.

That is still the case. I have just opened one (UK) - you need a card but no bank account (this is only to become verified). Until you become verified, however, there is a $500 spending limit.

In the UK (i should know this im from the uk :) ) you get a certain amount of funds allowed through your account before you need to verify it with bank account, confirming address etc.

well hopefully we can help you some how.
try getting them to file a complaint then leave it for 7days? then they'll be refunded the cash then do it with your Australian account.
