The problem 1: since march 1, I get about 3 referals per day. It used to be 1 referal per 7 days.

The problem 2: I get referals for words that are basic and has almost nothing to do with my sites. I am wondering if the PHPprobid is screwing up the search engines.

my site is www.its.asia

Here's the keywords I want:
Dot Asia, Buy sell domain names, technology, business news, travel asia

Here's what I am getting:

http //www.its-asia.com
sell your domain name
home browse register myaccount sell stores help
vbulletin international travel forums
itsasia
home register login sell stores wanted ads site fees help faq
mazkel
domain market asia forum
phpprobid.com domain name auction
home sell register login stores wanted ads help site fees about us contact us

I did changed the title, the meta tags, and it increases referal from 1 referal per 7 days to 3 referal per day. But the keywords I want are not there, and referals seems to going nowhere.

Could some SEO expert help me out. Thanks. Page rank is 0, I paid for backlinks but got 0 backlink.

Are those words present in the content of your page?

If yes then no worries.

1) First of all, most of the keywords you want are very competitive (business news, technology, travel asia)
2) Although they *appear* in your page, you don't have the semantic density in your page content to support them.

To clarify, If I look at your page, especially in a text browser (roughly approximate to what a search engine would see), it doesn't look like it's about business news, technology or travelling to asia, so why would the search engines index you well for those terms? It looks very unfocused, or at best like it's about selling domain names, so the referrals you're getting are right on the money - you're getting indexed for domain sales and your navigation links.

Other problems I see: Lots of indexed pages which are essentially duplicate content, identical titles for multiple pages ...

Why would you even *want* traffic from "travel asia" on this site :-/ ? Most of that would be people looking for travel resources, not domain names. Likewise for the other 2 less relevant terms - they're not well targeted to the domain market.

IF you can get inbound links with "dot asia", "buy sell domain names" and closely related keyphrases in the anchor text then you may start to pull in traffic for those keywords. But unless you develop considerable content on the other 3 topics, you don't stand much of a chance.

So you are saying, I must develop the other contents, there's no way to change keywords/titles/ to get some referal at least?

What do you mean duplicate content/titles?
Where are those?

What do you mean in a text browser?

I am actually building variety, I don't want to be solely focusing on domain names because its a saturated market. That's why I want the other 4 keywords to attract other type of visitors and contents. I agree, those keywords do not belong in the same niche but hey...its a design.

Some specific tips of what I should do step by step to improve referals?

Thanks.

According to your google results, most of your pages have the same title. You should never do that.

You have so little content on the inner pages I saw, that the navigation/header/footer outweigh anything unique on the page, hence duplicate content.

A text browser is something like Lynx - all it displays is the basic content of the page. Nobody uses it for actual browsing, the point is that what it displays is pretty much what search bots see.

Then you should have a specialized site for each of those very-different topics or your site will have no credibility for any of them. Would you do business with a company that claims to be a financial advisor, a travel agency, sells used cars and does some brain surgery on the side???

No credibility = no conversions.

If you DON'T have, for example, business news on your site and you somehow manage to rank and get traffic for "business news" same result: Untargeted traffic = junk traffic = poor conversions.

Some specific tips of what I should do step by step to improve referals?

Putting it simply, add more unique content to your site, make sure your page titles are unique and match the respective page content, target keywords used by buyers of what you are selling, don't target any markets or keywords that your site doesn't deliver.

What do you mean by the inner pages? Could you clarify this.

Thanks for the other pointer, I will find a way to change the title for each page. But how would I change a title for the about us, the contact us page, to be unique?

Inner pages - everything other than your home page. For example any of the destinations of your category links.

I don't even let search engines index those kind of pages on my sites (there's no point to it!), but if I did:

about us - "About [name of the site or business]"
contact us - "How to contact [name of site or business]"

I see: If you don't want search engine to index those pages: What should I do?

What kind of codes are there to block them from indexing those useless pages?

Thanks in advance.

For other sections that I don't want them to index too....

What should I do to block them?

If I used the <meta name="ROBOTS" content="NOINDEX,FOLLOW,NOARCHIVE" > and save it as robots.txt in my home directory meaning that google bots will not follow any pages of my site?

Or is the tag used to put in front of a page like
http://www.its.asia/sell_item,redirect,login meaning google wont follow this page if I put it in front of this page?

Its not too clear, at the moment. Please explain specifically.
I do want the robot to find my index.php page, help page, about us page, the forum. for everything else I want to disallow.

Could you give an example of where the text needs to be and how it should be set up. I followed your two links, they gave very general information.

thanks.
