Hello,
I'm new to domains...:)
I have no idea what I'm doing so far but I'm trying to learn! :)
I currently have about 17 domain names.

Hi dawn

Hi there!

Perhaps you should post those domains in the appraisal section. It would be a good start to learning what's valuable and what isn't!

Hi there, welcome to domaining and the site. I am pretty new too and have too many already!

It helps to have an excel spreadsheet with possible purchases and sleep on them, check them over a day later or a week later. It is amazing how crappy they can look when you look again or learn something new, feels good to delete them and know you have saved $10!

If you have done any writing, you'll know the checking the next day is the equivalent to proofreading. And you can let your subconscious work on it while you sleep.

Good luck with it! ;)

Hi and welcome! From experience, you must remain active when trying to sell domains. List on multiple platforms and price your domains with a buy it now price when possible as this tends to increase your chances of a sale.

Good luck! :)

Welcome!

Try to read as much as you can and take any 'experts' advice with a grain of salt!

I am surprised that nobody was honest enought to tell you this.

If you just started, do not buy any of the domain names and do not spend any money. Instead take a look at domains in the appraisal section, look which domains worth zero by experienced domainers and which domains have at least some value. Its not a secret that some people have success selling fresh hand registered domains that were never registered before and available in other extensions but future results are not guaranteed.

Also avoid registering domains for $9.99, you can find godaddy coupons on this forum which are as low as $0.99.

Visit domain auction thread in this forum, most domains can't be sold even for $1 starting price, this might give you a better vision.
