Hello Domainers,

Have you ever experienced a situation whereby you contacted endusers and one replied you, though it took him/her clost to 2 months before they reply or they replied swiftly.

They showed interest liked they would buy the domain and when you sent another email to start the whole deal, they never replied you. You sent them several emails and they still didn't reply.

And all of a sudden after some months, you got an email from them and sold the email.

Any?

A rewrite of what you are trying to ask would be helpful.

The number one reason for long winded deals is purely a disagreement in price.

If you didnt state the price in the first email then:

a) There making you stew in the domain (now that you emailed the world for 2 months, now take my low ball offer)

b) The just found the email

c) Their need for your domain has changed since you first wrote.

I think we've all experienced this (or something similar at least)..I registered a name and had the perfect buyer lined up, but they refused to create an account with GoDaddy. They told me to contact them in about 2 months when the name could be transferred out and by the time that came around someone else had already purchased it..

Instead of me emailing them, they were emailing me (and probably regretting that they didn't just create a GoDaddy account to hold the name until it could be transferred to their preferred registrar)

Okay... Thanks.

Actually, the buyer stated how much he would pay right off the bat, which I accepted as stated in my email.

This really made me felt they were serious. I thanked the sender and really appreciate him.

Since that day till now, no news from them.

I am just assuming may be there had been any case whereby buyer didn't respond but after such a long period, they resurfaced again. Just guessing if anyone has had such an experience before so I would know how ro handle this.

However, I have stopped emailing him and moved on. I will renew the domain.

I just sold to a guy who approached me a year ago about a domain after he bought the .net .org .info . biz and paid for multiple years on all of them.

He wouldn't pay my price or anything close to it at the time.
A year goes by and he comes knocking again and he finally buys it, still not at my original price but pretty close :)

Thanks, Lennco. This is what I am talking about. That's much better and your post made me feel better.

My guess is that this guy is really interested but has resorted to play the mind game.

I feel he has probably backordered the domain since it's close to expiry, but he just registered his interest INCASE I renew it. So as to prevent me from selling to someone else. It could also be what your buyer did. You never can tell. That is wait for the domain to drop so as to register it.

Otherwise if he(my buyer) didn't want to buy, he would have told me so or ask me to stop sending him emails. At least that was what someone did in the past for same domain and I stopped. The fact that he stated his Price is a good sign but that was after about 2 months of contacting them.

We shall see. I will keep the domain for as long as I can because it has really attracted 3 people except 1 didn't reply after they said they will get back at us, while another was price disagreement...

He is the last and I am experiencing this. I know they will come back and I am pretty sure about that.
