Have I done everything possible to get expiring EasySpace domain?

There is a domain I've been watching for years that is a shorter/better version of one I currently use. It is registered with Easyspace.com and is now in pending delete, release date is Nov. 9th.

I've setup backorders with
Godaddy
Namejet
Snapnames
Pool

Anything else I can do? Since Easyspace is based in the UK is there a dropcatcher that is better for UK registrars? I there a backorder service that has the exclusive with Easyspace?

Thanks, sorry to have a bunch of questions with my first post, just anxious to do everything possible.

November 9 is the expiring date or the entering redemption?

Have no info if Easyspace has a contract for prerelease expired names with some aftermarket like snap.
If not you are safe with your backordering it seems

The expiration date was September 23, 2010 and went to pending delete on December 4th, 2010.

Thanks I was just trying to uncover anything I hadn't found for backordering Easyspace domains. Googling Easyspace just pulls up a bunch of complaints about their "transfer-away" fee.

You can try backordering at DomainMonster.com as well (based in the UK). But if it is a .com, most likely NJ, Snap or Pool will grab it.

No, unfortunately I did not, I was really disappointed.

Despite using all the major backorder services the name was grabbed by someone using the small registrar "DEERWOOD INVESTMENTS LLC" and immediately parked at Sedo. Of course all the whois contact info for the name is protecteddomainservices.com so I don't know who actually bought the name.

I'm wondering how they beat out all the big name grabbers?

The frustrating thing is that I'm confident that most of the traffic to the domain is created by people trying to come to my site. I've built a large community/hobby site over the last 8 years using a domain name like TheExample.com and the name I was trying to get would be Example.com.

Looks like "DEERWOOD INVESTMENTS LLC" owns deerwood.name registrar, which looks like Name.com reseller. Name.com has its own drop catch service, Domain Nabber. I guess somebody backordered and got that domain through Domain Nabber.

Wish I would have known about Name Nabber, never heard of them, apparently their backorder service is fairly new.

Now, the new owner won't be making much money with Sedo Parking for this name, it's not commercial. I'm thinking of contacting the owner through the privacy email and making a straight-up plea for the name to help the community. Since it's not a commerce site I couldn't offer much money (couple of hundred maybe) but I could offer links from my busy site which could make him more than parking the domain he bought.

What do you think of that strategy?

My suggestion is not to contact them at once.
Wait for say, two months. You will then be able to transfer the name to another registrar if the sale takes place.
If you contact the new owner to quickly he will suspect you missed the drop and are somewhat desperate to get the domain.
You can also shoot an offer through Sedo.
