I was watching TV the other day, and to my surprise, I saw a new .extension GTLD being marketed on television : and not just low traffic local channels, I am talking about universal exposure ... The premiere trailer for the release of the new marvel film,

Morbius

Honestly, I cannot say I know anything about Morbius

But I like the fact that a GTLD was used to market and advertise the release

Morbius.movie

~

which brings me to this - I’d like to create this “newsworthy thread” to allow others (wether you are a .com investor or new .extension investor) to post GTLDs they see publicly advertised or out in the open - pics are great too !

that's the one that gave domains away for free (they injected ads though). Long time ago...
Yes, quite funny a whole country's tld was given away for free 😆
While .io (which is only a for a british territory, not even a country) was selling for 60$

But I still see their website here, but not working. Did they stop ? What is the price now?

With so many reserves and "premiums" I don't think exposure is bringing too much value

My wife and I have handcrafted items in a marketplace in our town. There dozens and dozens of these marketplaces around us.

Many of them locally and in a few state radius participate in a marketing brochure which is printed but also online at: treasure.guide

It's so strange that I only recall the use of ngTLD ".earth" in an ad by a sponsor of the TV show "Shark Tank India" but I can recall neither the brand/domain nor its product.

I saw a local clothe shop named "vivi.fashion" in the street, not sure it is a shop name only or they also use this domain....

Nobody takes seriously all these new extensions. Only dreaming domainers reg and buy them for resale or for collection. And large IT corporations register them for fun. Example: abc.xyz etc.
Even startups, if they finally succeed, run to look for .com
A good .com domain is prestigious.
You said something good, but the rest is hogwash. It's too bad.

There's many companies that use their extension religiously, and haven't looked back. The example you gave, abc.xyz, I guess the 4th largest market cap company of 2022 likes posting their investor earnings on a just "for fun" site.

I could show you thousands of new extension sites that are taken seriously if I didn't take you for a non-com chip-in-the-shoulder willfully ignorant basement dweller.

btw, do you own a prestigious dot-com? would love to see an example out of your bag.

I saw .aero being marketed by two airlines: SkyUp.aero (Ukrainian Airlines) & DanAir.aero (Romanian Airlines).

.com has the best resale value however and likely always will
Impossible to predict market with only 37 years of history ^ we may not even have domain .extensions 10 years from now

Gotta think ahead

There is no any decent company using new extension. As new startup gets its first decent income, they run to buy a .com
