I only have one...BOA.groupWho has plans to throw their group domains on GoDaddy Auctions? I believe we will be able to in a few weeks. I plan on it.
It was just an assumption on my part...getting close to 60 days.Where did you hear this?
I will certainly do it as soon as it's allowed.
I have about 10. I'll be putting them all up.I only have one...BOA.group
Hoping to receive offers for it. Not really marketing it much.
Can barely wait. Most of mine are w godaddy anyway. Just got these three more yesterday: Honor.Group, Ethical.Group, Eternal.GroupWho has plans to throw their group domains on GoDaddy Auctions? I believe we will be able to in a few weeks. I plan on it.
How do you price an unknown gtld? I like to think I have some decent keywords that I registered on the first few days, but I really don't how to price them. And .group only has 1 sale on Namebio right now, so I find it hard to use that.
Some of mine: Stocks, cigar, cigars wines, xxx, hardcore, 4x4, pot, weed, investing, singles, and a few more that I can't think of right now.
Advertising is a great one! Wish I thought of it.Unknown, indeed: .group has a little over 7k registrations - https://ntldstats.com/registry/group/Donuts-Inc.
It can use some success stories. They will come.
Bot estimators include the word "group" when figuring out search engine results or cost per click for the exact phrase. So you could research the domain name value for <name>group.com and figure that your <name>.group would be worth about the same if not more. That might work for a relatively fast sale.
If you're in no rush, for the words that fit naturally before "group", one can argue that the .group extension is at par or even more powerful than .com and that, after .group will be known to the public at large, the <name>.group will be close in value to <name>.com. The challenge is to figure out how much is the <name>.com domain name worth, since probably all are developed web sites and their appraised value includes content, Alexa ranking etc.
Here is an example for Advertising.Group that I own (from estibot.com):
![]()
Because I am willing to wait, I ended up setting a retail price of $12,000 for Advertising.Group (entertaining offers of $3,000 or more). For the right buyer, that is most likely underpriced.
neither do II don't even understand what this classification of "high value" means in the the first place.
Bad news everyone, I just spent 30 minutes with GoDaddy Support asking about .group domains in the GoDaddy Auctions. Ultimately, this is their answer...
"I checked on your Auction but sad to say, .group will not be available anytime soon. There's no turn around time for this one because gTLDs like .group is considered as "high value" by the registry itself. Though GoDaddy is trying to have this issue resolved, like I have said, there's no turn around time yet. You can list the domain though at Afternic.com because there are not the same restriction."
I did tell them that I was annoyed that I couldn't add the domains to auction. I wonder if we would get a 3rd story if someone else contacts them. The GoDaddy rep I just chatted with said "We are working on getting all gtld domains in our auctions, it's just a matter of waiting for authorization from the registry that owns it. You can list a lot of gtld domains with afternic.com though."
And, when I asked about an ETA, he said to email [email protected], which I did.
I noticed that if you try to create a listing on GoDaddy auctions, the .group extension is available. However, one cannot save the listing, the page displaying: "Sorry, usa.group [] is not eligible for listing on GoDaddy Auctions." And there is a "more info" link on that message. When you click on "more info", you get an alert that says "While GoDaddy Auctions supports the vast majority of Top-Level Domains, we can`t list this particular domain right now. We`re working on building out the infrastructure to handle domains like this and will email you when we`re ready to go."
As for the "high value" qualification mentioned in the posts above, maybe that rep was trying to make CJ6 feel good about .group assets in general.
Here is my .group list, sorted by my evaluation
