Dear Jorge [Loser]:

Thank you for your interest in listing rccars.us [worstnameever.us] with Great Domains [the best website on the www], a
place where you will find premium domain names [unlike yours] for sale.

After carefully reviewing [tossing aside] your request against our selection criteria, we have
determined that your domain name is well suited for sale through the auction
provider Afternic [not suited for our great site, idiot]. Using the auction may allow you greater pricing
flexibility and a faster transaction [but you should probably just let the name drop]. The link below provides information on
listing your domain name for auction, and additional services you can utilize
gain value from you [your] domain [such as getting a refund from your registrar].

Thank you again for your interest in listing your domain name with Great
Domains [thanks for wasting our time]. We hope you keep us in mind for any listings you might want to make
in the future [so that we can send you another one of these rejection letters].

[un]Sincerely,

The Great Domains Staff

This makes me wonder if you send them an adult or gambling domain if they'll still refer you to Afternic :)

Well, what I have got from GreatDomains is (after the previously rejection on the same domain I submited):

Dear my name

Thank you for your interest in GreatDomains.com. Attached you will find our
standard Premium Listing and Right to Transfer Agreement. Please review, sign
and fax back the agreement to 703-738-7115. (Return the page that includes the domain names with the prices and signature page).

You may also provide a brief description of your domain name (maximum of 50
words). Buyers will be able to click on "details" and read any selling points
that you wish to list about the domain.

Your domain name will be listed on our website within 7 to 10 business days of
receipt of the signed Listing Agreement.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Great Domains

:)

Why even bother. Very rarely do you ever see a GD sale mentioned. The same names on the site have been listed there for years. There's one on there that sat in my sales posts for almost a year and never sold until I finally ended up letting it go for less than $25 about 2-3 years ago listed at $10,000 asking . It's been sitting there since then. Very unlikely they will ever see that or anywhere close to it. I think I've submitted 1 name in the past 4-5 years. While it did get accepted I decided against doing it due to their 6 month exclusive broker deal which I'm not even sure if they still do or not. More or less alot of hassle and ties the name up for 6 months to sit and collect dust on their site.

yeah im pretty sure they still have the 6 month deal. I didn't bother accepting their offer to list because of that and also because I don't have access to a fax machine... $8,000 for banish.net Currently, I have the domain on Afternic Bazaar for $300, because I need the money. :)

Sorry, it looks like the rest of my post was cut off. It also said something about "so what does everyone think about the new rejection letter?" I remember getting "excited" at first because I thought the acceptance letter had changed. I wrote this post right after the disappointment set in.

It's not a great domain, that's why. Not "premium" in their opinion.

That's no excuse for insulting the owner. To add insult to injury: They use Afternic affiliate links to make money off a buyer after they tell them to go elsewhere.

Agreed 100%

I have addressed this issue 10 times or so, on Namepros. I have had 25-30 listed on www.GreatDomains.com in the past. I currently have probably 5 or so. I don't even know how many, because I don't even check. Why? As stated by JMJ, why even bother! I agree with that statement 100%.

A "few" people are lucky, and sell a name on GD, but the majority of us aren't.
If I sold maybe 25% of the names I listed, then it would be a diffent situation. I could get excited, and say "well, I will sell one every once in a while, so you never know."
What is really a downer about GD is the numbers of offers I have received. Out of those 25-30 domains, not even 1 offfer. Nada, zero, "0", nothing. You would think I would have at least received something like "while the minimum offer we can accept on your domain is $2,500, we have received an offer for $1,000." Nope.
So, it no big deal. I am not saying don't submit your names,or you will never sell one on GD. I hope you do. Just don't get overly excited because they accpeted your name. Yes, it does feel good, and will give your domain some exposure.
Just don't go out and buy that $2,000 toy you have wanted because you know soon you will sell a domain on GD.
