Hi everyone!
My company recently launched the beta version of a site to help you create brand, product, and company names.

The site is: http://www.brandfetch.com

Check it out and tell me what you think!

Best,
Chris

Hi Chris

- GREAT concept, but I think you should work on the design.
- The side menu I´d suggest you use the grey you use in the "word-fetch" card etc.
- Also match the H1 header "welcome..." to the blue of the logo. Or the other way around. Besides that, there are quite a lot of phrases that look like "taglines" (lightspeed brand creation tools, Welcome to Brandfetch, Brandfetch gives you... etc), I´d stick with the 1st and the last.
- Just a personal opinion: I´d delete the Yahoo ads. The site could make you quite a lot of money "as such", I don´t think you´ll add a lot with adds.

Thank you very much for the feedback!
I'll try out your design suggestions and see how it looks.

One question--This is the first site that we're putting up. If we were to take out the ads, what would you suggest for revenue generation? Something along the lines of premium accounts?

Anyone else have opinions on that?

I´m sorry I can´t help you with that. Adsense doesn´t generate a lot for me, and although my number of visitors have increased steadily, the income from adsense has declined dramatically since beginning this year. Premium accounts seems a great idea, as well as selling other services.

I'd also love to hear anyone's ideas on promoting this site. I think it's a great tool & completely free.

Does anyone have some experience in this area? Is it PPC or nothing?

While the drag and drop feature for fetching is pretty interesting much of it does seem slightly confusing. Also the lowercased titles and links mixed with being large and bold gives the site a sort of amateurist look. Also navigating back to the home page is not clear. Clicking on the "Lightspeed brand creation tools" at the top is not intuitive. Also when on any of the fetch pages there is an overlap at the bottom of the navigation table on the left. Hope this was helpful, best of luck.

Thank you for your assessment. I was hoping that you could clarify a few points though. Which part is "large and bold"? The resource window titles?

I think it's commonly accepted practice to have the site banner/logo be the primary link back to the home page--but in this case there really isn't a "home page" anyway (just a graphic introducing the tool) so I especially thought it wasn't necessary.

The overlap, I'd appreciate it if you explained further. I don't see it on IE or FF.

I'd also much appreciate if you could clarify on any "confusing" aspect. I designed it to be a set of self-contained tools that each perform specific functions relating to finding a brand name. Since it is a window-based interface, you can use or not use whichever tool you like.

Thank you again for the review. I hope to hear more from you. (And what other people think too!).
