I made a number of inquiries on domain names lately and am still shocked how many domainers do not respond to an inquiry. Granted I did not open with a price, I always ask what are you looking to get for the domain. I end by saying I am very interested and please do not ignore my inquiry.

In the last month I have sent 6 inquiries and received only two responses and one response ended in a sale. So from 6 domains one was what I would call a great transaction and the other one at least an attempt for a sale.

That said, I have a tendency to send the inquiry at least twice and this month I send the following to 4 of my inquiries. that failed to respond.

Hello. I made several attempts to start dialogue to purchase domain.com and have received no response from you. I stated both times that I was very interested in the domain and would appreciate either a call or email back. At this point I will terminate any negotiation on this domain and wish you well in your endeavors. That said, I was very interested in your domain and it is your loss not to have responded. As a domainer myself I feel this is very poor business management on your behalf.

Got one response back from a domainer

Was two words

Guess what they were?

"F*ck You"

Wow.... just wow

@MapleDots I think what made that domainer send that email response to you was the fact you said that it was his or her loss. People dont like when you say it is your loss. Many people get offended by this.

hmmm I thought I created this thread? I guess I made a similar one. I reached out to a website owner. I forgot what for. I guess to sell a domain?

And got the same response. I would post the website but I think he is well known on here.

I did not get upset about or hurt.

Laughed my ass off.

just goes to show what kind of "characters" we domainers are. lol

Try being the only GoDaddy and Afternic rep on Namepros. I get told to go F myself by domainers on a regular basis. It doesn't bother me a bit. If you are going to be in business you need tough skin.
Seriously the company could prioritize even improve a lot with a stronger presence here less tv more internet domain targeted no brainer. Not under your control but I would suggest assistance even for brand awareness. Others have built brands here in the meantime.

you never know. depending on their "preferences" they might just be aggressively hitting on you. :xf.wink:

never take it personal. instead of a blow off might simply be a misunderstanding and they actually want to...........well.....you know??:xf.wink::xf.grin::ROFL:(y)

I assume the impolite response to MapleDots came in response to a specific price offer. Doesn’t make sense otherwise.

Even repeated emails simply inquiring as to whether a domain is for sale or asking to buy it would not solicit such a response.

Seller must not have liked the offer.

If Maple made no offer at any point and ended with “As a domainer myself I feel this is very poor business management on your behalf.” that too could solicit an impolite response as it challenges or insults the seller’s business acumen.
