Hi,

Does any one has an idea as to what is slow, normal and fast in terms of number of days? You can see this option in Google Webmaster tools where you can set the crawl rate for your website. One of my website was last crawled on 18 Feb 08 and speed is set to Normal. Can't change it to faster speed because the option is disabled. It's been more than a month but Google hasn't crawled my website so does any one knows about it?

Thanks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Create good content and get more backlinks and if you site is dynamic one and if the bot finds more new pages on his next visit the faster crawling option will be enabled.

If you have a high crawl rate, it means you have lots of fresh content that will be added to Googleโ€™s index fast, i think if you have a way to make minor changes to all your pages frequently, you will see the crawl rate increase.

Check maybe web hosting downtimes coincide with their visits. That migh be one of the reason.

its s crawl rate means more google visit your site and update your site with content

if you keep FAST bandwidth problem possible on site

its better what is normal in webmaster tool

Google makes the final decision at what rate your website will be crawled. Normal is the safest speed. Save bandwidth.

The faster crawl rate is available if you add lot of new content in your site.

Google usually crawls faster on static pages rather than dynamic pages.. My site was crawled slower by Google and Yahoo crawled faster when I updated it. It is a dynamic site.

Wrong. :)

Static and Dynamic has no difference in the eyes of bots.

Authority sites with regular fresh content gets crawled faster.

But dynamic pages is not search engine friendly that's why there is recommendation of url rewrite... ;)

The Fresh contents is still what the search engine wants... It is their food.

"FRESH CONTENTS IS THEIR FOOD!" :D

Again wrong.

See Namepros itself the page you are posting on.

It is dynamic page and it does have SEO friendly URL's

Saying Dynamic Pages are not good for SEO is wrong statement. I agree that you might be referring to something else. Like you said that dynamic URL's are not SEO friendly but it has nothing to do with dynamic pages.

Dynamic pages and Dynamic URL's are different things.

I am not trying to point out the mistake. But just saying as I said on other thread that you have knowledge but you need to choose the right words. Because sometimes the wrong words changes the meaning completely.

Thanks.

Man you need to think before posting.

Dynamic Page is not always dynamic URL.

You yourself have posted about it just 2 posts ago that it can be modified with Mod Rewrite.

How is a Dynamic page always a Dynamic URL? Isn't it the static one right here on this page itself where we both are posting this stuff?
