Hey all. I’m the owner of GoogleMaps.xyz

It’s taken in over 260+ Extensions.

Where would we price this at?
I appreciate your time.

I set up a dan.com lander page on it. Lets see if the organic traffic will lead to a sale.
And there’s the 100,000 dollar problem

You're right. But I think the domain is still cool in a way. Since Google LLC owns almost all of the other extensions (net, org, biz, io, cc etc). This one is the only one owned by a thirdparty/individual and it its a decent tld XYZ
Eyeroll. Boy do you have a lot to learn still.

GoogleMaps.xyz goes to portfolio at dan with
Translate.blue and that was listed by above member.
Hey @Paul real breach of your integrity here. Op seems to have at least 3 accounts here. And were worried about invisible votes or some guy hitting 70000 posts with zero impact. Epic dude
I told him on another site the other day that it was a liability not an asset. I’m not sure why he’s still defending this crap

Oh hi, it’s you. I didn’t know you were here as well. You’re my favorite domainer.

Jokes aside, I’m determined to sell it.
You are not allowed to sell trademark domains like that on NamePros, and attempting to do so will result in a warning on your account.

It looks like you have quite a few accounts. You're only permitted to have one free account on NamePros; all other accounts must have gold memberships, and none of your accounts can interact with each other--for example, they can't post in the same thread.

It has a lot of organic traffic. I think it should sell soon.

Definitely, a liability. No matter what you do. At the end it's not an asset.

There are things that you should never touch, abc, xyz, or alphabet. To be precise, stay away from fortune (500).

Until you are 100% sure what you are doing.

A kind suggestion, Start here: https://namepros.com/blog.

I know. But please note that I don't condone such activities, nor will I ever do them myself.
By selling a blatantly trademarked name, you're participating explicitly in the activities you claim to condone. Selling this domain means profitting on someone else's established brand.

Make no mistake... What you're knowingly doing is equally as bad as the actions of someone who would use this name to scam other people.

Have a look at this: giga.law/blog/2021/11/10/google-maps-udrp
Guys there is no point this guy is totally clueless on how this industry works. It would he I threshing to find out how many clear trademark domains he has registered. I tried to look on Dan but switched the settings you can't see his others in his portfolio, however if only he took the time to do research and know that having a domain with Google isn't necessarily a trademark issue, but to look think ahead to what google may wont to purchase from you in the future. But this guy is a blatant turd bucket domainer. Absolutely clueless trash.

Look I get your point. But try to visit googlemaps.xyz. I made the design and it looks great. I think I'll sell it, thanks for your opinion.

My portfolio has always been public on Dan. Not sure what you are talking about. Just click on my Dan profile photo and it will take you to my portfolio. None of my other domains are trademarked besides googlemaps.

Can I tell you what I would do with that domain, I have spent over 8yr amd over 10k hours researching and studying this industry and I'm not even close to being an expert, because honestly there aren't any in this business. However the only way you even have a chance of getting any money for a trademarked domain is reach out to the person who handles or purchases domains and be like hey insaw this domain available and I wanted to pick it up and give it to you guys before some scammer got ahold of it. Don't ask for any money just give it to them. Maybe they will appreciate the gesture and give you a little money because it saved them time and effort dealing with a malicious site using that domain. Not saying they will but that's the best chance you have a not being a turd bucket and selling it to some scammer because noone legitimate in this industry will touch that domain or pay one cent. We have spent the time and effort researching and I suggest you do the same

This game is hard, and it will have you doubting yourself, guaranteed. Anyone that's been in this industry that's not the elites that snagged all the 1-4 letter and one word domains back in the 80's and 90's will tell you. We are fighting for the scraps and its tough and it will frustrate you. But you have to approach domaining with good business ethics or your going to fail, take the time research, information isn't just going to fall on your lap its takes years digging and digging trial and error and once you somewhat get this game you will figure out how to aquire premium domains , and then those aren't even guaranteed to sell or you may sit on them for years possibly in the chance they may or may not sell. But you have to do things the correct way. And another piece of advice stop getting on nanepros with multiple account. Nothing I mean nothing gets past these guys. If you get banned from namepros. Then there goes a vital tool needed and it's only going to make things tougher. I mean it reach out to Google offer them that domain at no charge and they may through you a couple bucks for saving them time down the road. Give it to them ok. That would be a good start and stop buying trademarked domains you will get figured out the people in this business are clever. Once you get a bad name you might as well quit you won't have a chance in hell of selling any domains.

It could very well sell. There are a lot of scummy people out there. I'm just suggesting you display an ounce of pride and not be one of them.

Well, the same can be said for pretty much any domain. A scammer could turn any domain into a scam /phishing site. I am just a domain seller, I do not participate in the activities that the domain buyer does after purchasing the domain. I have nothing to do with it.

You're profitting from someone else's established brand. Your name's confusion with the real brand is the only reason that it might have value to a scammer. So you are very clearly, and knowingly, seeking to make money from unethical and illegal actions.

Selling this domain name for a profit is exactly the same as standing on a street corner and selling fake Rolex watches.

No, I’m not. If google wants it they can buy it easily and I’m not here to extort massive amount of money. The price is 1/3 of a UDRP, so if google wants it they will be better off buying it from me.

So because you're only extorting a few hundred bucks it makes it okay?

If you're selling it for more than you paid for it, you're profitting. It's extremely clear-cut.

If you're going to continue this type of practice, at least own it. Accept that you're perfectly okay with profitting via unethical and borderline illegal actions. But I would suggest keeping a low profile (i.e. not posting about it on a forum).
