Google Search Results

Hi guys,
Ok so my new site www.flightupdates.co.uk just launched last Friday and I have been working really hard at trying to get it as search engine friendly as possible. Anyway updon typing in "flight updates" into Google, I see the site is second in the search results. I am so pleased about this! I thought it would take longer than that! Hopefully now I should get a lot more traffic as it has been struggling in the first week. Anyone think this should improve the traffic now?
Also if anyone would like to link to each other's sites just contact me

I don't see it in the search results, with or without quotes. Maybe I'm just missing it. Can you provide more details about the Google search ranking?

Sure, All I did was go on to google and type flight updates, no quotation and it shows up

I don't know why it would show up on mine and my friend's but not on yours in california :S. Weblord, it still ranks 2nd when I search. Is that not kind of strange? Is it good though that it is on google already or does that happen quite often?

I'm seeing it listed 5th(7th counting sponsored links). I typed in Flight updates uk without quotes.

Very good for just a few day's

Ah well that's still good I guess . I really want to get this site well known so hopefully now it is high up on Google I can manage that.

i think as long as it ranks 2nd on google.com and on other countries you're targetting well and good, like I said what you did at first should be continued on a regular basis, congratulations.

Should it eventually come up on different keywords though? ie: flight info or flight times and not just flight updates?

If you go on Google UK and puy in "flight updates" it ranks 2nd as stated. Google favours local (co.uk) sites. On the Aussie Google it ranks #44. Still a good result though, well done. Martin.

you're welcome.

i've visited your site and i could say it's all a bunch of ads on frontpage, why not fill it up with content more and place the ads more subtle so as not to appear it's only the ad content they're viewing.

Yeah I'm thinking about changing it around a bit. I'll just have to wait and see cos I don't get involved with the code writing and so on!

Its second for me on google when i search for pages in the UK. But congrats on getting it that high in such a short period of time :D
