Google Search Stats Advice Please!

Hey all,

Considering the purchase of a 2 word .co.uk and in due dilignece I have been checking out search stats over at Google.

without quotes the phrase turns up 90,000,000 results
with quotes it turns up 1,100,000 results

Using the Keyword tool I get these stats

Broad: Local Searc Volume - 40,500
Broad: Global Monthly Search Vol - 74,000

Phrase: Local Search Volume - 33,000
Phrase: Global Monthly Search - 49,500

Exact: Local Search Volume - 1,900
Exact: Global Monthly Search - 1,900

I think the numbers all look good but can anyone tell me what they actually mean? Would these stats indicate a domain worth buying/developing?

3 Questions:
Is local set to the UK?
What is the CPC?
Is the name product or service related?

Whatever the name there is a lot of competition for search engine attention. That does not bode well.
