I am about to test a new strategy for picking keywords.
I wanted to know something first. If your are searching for "weight loss pills" doing a broad search which pages come up first - the ones optimized for this exact phrase or pages not so well optimized for the exact phrase but with better off-page optimization?

Thanks!

I did not understand your question completely. If possible, please explain in little detail.

Anyway, I searched for the mentioned KW and saw this site "weightlossnpills" on the top. This and other top sites seem to be totally optimized for the mentioned KW.

I guess sites with higher PR appear the first on the page.

Of course usually the pages appear which correspond exactly to your key phrases. But the only problem is to formulate your desire exactly, and this is the hardest problem.

Having high PR value is just one of the factors that helps you get into top rankings on SERP.

Yes, there are over 200 factors that Google considers in the ranking algo. PR is only one of them.

For the OP's question, we do not know the exact algo and hence, no one here can provide you the answer except from our own experiences =)

How does keyword density affect the page ranking of your site? Can anyone please make this very clear to me. Thanks! Anyways, that's just my question because I am very curious about. I think have a high page rank is really an important factor to have a successful internet business. If your site isn't recognized at all, then you are not getting profits for what you have worked hard for.
