We have supported the idea that domain names influence search engine performance for some time now – the research is there.

New top-level domains create a more meaningful and memorable experience for Internet users. Having a unique and relevant URL that matches your brand name or product is priceless. The name says it all. The best way to get discovered online is to use a domain name that aligns with your purpose and makes it easier for people to find you.

The top apps on the market are already using the .app domain as the home for their application on the web. There are more than 1.5 million app publishers between Google Play, App Store, and Amazon AppStore, which means there are 1.5 million brands competing for the perfect representation of their brand with the .app domain (Source: App Annie).

disclaimer: I own diamondring.app

With so many Generic domain being registered I am wondering if you can have more than one app with the same title on Google Play and Itunes ? Interested to know, I did see one name I half considered but there was already an app on Google and I didn't grab it, can anyone answer this I wonder, cheers

I noticed quite a few too with the same name or same 'last names' where the only difference is just the owner brand name as 'first name'.

Google owns Android
Google owns .app
Google owns Google search

Anyone who can't figure out how this is going to work isn't too bright and should keep blogging for ad revenue

I wonder what Apple 🍎 has to say about .App extension.

I wonder what Apple 🍎 has to say about .App extension.

Yes, I suspect they have some regrets they did not outbid Google for the #APP extension, seeing the early success.

Nevertheless, if APP makes the overall app ecosystem more active, valued and secure, it may have some positive indirect benefits for the AppStore and Apple.

A good news my friend sold the chainit.com for $170000, and he bought more than 500 .app domains.

So it's a good ideal to hold one .app domain.

Oh ooh. I own over 100 .app domains such us: backpain.app hairloss.app cheap hotels.app asianporn.app, flippa.app etc etc. I'm optimist that they eventually will have a great market value. What do you guys think about my portfolio?
