My question to Pinky Brand, was frankly, how close are we to having a Google.mobi or MSN.mobi as stand alone .mobi sites..

I mean.. they are part of the elite Dot Mobi business consortium aren't they?

As a domainer, I have been feeling that if this happened the implications for Dot Mobi with the tech world would be tremendous. Why the other backers have done it already, and not those two giants, I was wondering if the move was being planned for the future timely.

It's a little thing, but it means alot.

That has been how this Dot Mobi style has been going..

Dot Mobi news just dripping out again and again.. getting higher and higher..


Great timing ironically, as the Dot Mobi business consortium planners launch their "Go Mobile" campaign tomorrow with 1 year Dot Mobi registrations.

What exists now and what doesn't exist now is actually is good for us; as, this "small" step only gives us more time and more names available to reg personally..

But to lift domaining up as a whole, this beta is a "big" sign to pace usage and popularity of new/alternate domain extensions for the mainstream world's awareness.
