Google today released a press release announcing that they are working with partners such as t-Mobile and Motorola (as well as many others) as part of a Open Handset Alliance.

they claim that the alliance should result in faster roll outs (as well as cheaper) mobile phones. The 1st phones that use the technology that these companies have cooperatively developed should be made available by mid 2008.

For more information visit http://www.google.com/intl/en/press/pressrel/20071105_mobile_open.html
