I don't know what to make of it all....

Gig.TV on sedo with 2 days to go. Bidding at 520. I predict it will be struggling to top that.

Surely a great domain but as far as I am concerned, shows there is little interest in the .TV market.

Difficult knowing what's real these days as far as sales prices go. Some Sedo .TV sales I have seen recently are 'interesting' to say the least.

Is Gig.TV really that bad? I know the premiums are a problem and I genuinely think that the premium concept tarnishes a domain. Maybe this domain has found it's correct value.

To be honest, I can't wait to get rid of it and break even.

I haven't heard anyone use the word gig around me in the NorthEast US in 15 years but that's just here and I know the resonance of the name as I grew up playing drums.

Domain also has a limited use not like it going to be an acronym for a lot of businesses pretty much need a musician that will put out $500 a year.

Problem with LLL.tv and LL.tv even though I like both, is that there are plenty of unregged LLL and LL so unless someone absolutely needs it they have other choices to reg an LLL.

Good Luck with the auction.

Demand media needs to change their premium pricing to these lll and ll .tv names if they want to bring more attention.

Demand Media has no say other than the markups but $500 and $1000 is where Verisign will keep the premium pricing.

295 LL.tv are regged anywhere from 10 at $125 to $400 to $10,000 so on average let's say all 295 average out to $3000 per LL.tv. Verisign is not giving up $885,000 a year for nobody. Either is Tuvalu they want premium pricing and renewals so let's not just say Verisign.

gig is also a popular military term. 8 years of military HS and college, we used gig every other day. There is also a gigline which goes down the shirt to the zipper line on the pants. If those are not lined up, you will get giged.

I think it will go higher. You will have a big jump in the last 2 hours! Hoping you break into $x,xxx!

wow!

Smash great thought in doing this. I didn't even think about that one.

Now will he or she respond to the email that's the next question. Maybe prime minister work staff will at least respond.

Copy and paste if you hear anything.

Hope his spam filter didn't kick you into his spam box. These filters today are filter lagent emails like gmail. I missed an order couple days back from a customer and been waiting in spam.

Happy thanksgiving!

I hear and use the term daily. Other freelancers also use the term -- sometimes artists, etc. I could see there being a gig tv show or network.. it has potential.

i think tuvalu was made to believe they want premium pricing
No I disagree and talking to people who were with DOT TV corp back when it all started they most definitely believed in premium pricing. Its what Jason Chapnik discussed with them from day one and without Verisign they would be charging somewhere like all the other smaller island countries except .ws and .cc who tried to have another meaning. Currently .nu is getting ready for an auction of some of their "premium domains" and like I have said before I believe Tuvalu would have run a Kirabati type deal where every domain was going for $500 to $1500 a year.
Lastly what Tuvalu want is money and more of it to think they care about what domainers in North America or Europe want is foolish IMO
