Good Free Blog Site: GoDaddy's free Blog?

I am thinking of starting a blog and have seen several places that offer a free blog.
I also need to register the domain name before starting the blog.
Godaddy has a free blog with registration.
Has anyone had any experience with GoDaddy's free Blog.

Is it better to just register the domain, and then look for a Blog?

Any other suggestion on a domain name registration and Bog combo.

GoDaddy's free quickblog has a limited number of templates (but they can be customised somewhat) and there will be Google Adsense ads at the top of the page. I use GoDaddy's paid QuickBlog for a couple of my blogs (might as well - I only got the QB for cheap domain names) and it isn't too bad, but I prefer WordPress for my main blog.

Maybe you could get a cheap hosting package and wun WordPress yourself? Or try looking at WordPress.com for free WP blogs.

i'd say get your own domain name for a few bucks, get your own hosting for a few bucks and put your free wordpress on it! It's as easy as that, and you will have full control!

Well I guess you can embed a free wordpress blog (hosted on remote server) with your own domain name here www.wordpress.com
